South Waikato Garage Doors began in the 1978 when Ken Searl founded the business in Matamata - servicing the wider Matamata/Piako and South Waikato region.
Over the decades, Ken became the trusted local go‑to for garage doors, building the business on straightforward values: quality work, treat people fairly, and stand behind what you install.
In 2005, Gary and Barbara Searl took over the business, continuing its legacy. Gary is a qualified fitter‑welder with extensive experience in the heavy machinery industry, bringing strong engineering expertise and practical problem‑solving to every project.
Today, Dale Searl is the next generation involved in the company’s future, making three generations who remain connected to one local business - built on experience, workmanship and long‑term relationships.
We’re proud to serve the greater Matamata, Piako and South Waikato homeowners, businesses and builders with dependable installations, responsive repairs and ongoing maintenance.
